Joe is a master systems architect with more than 30 years in power electronics and motor control. He holds 57 U.S. patents and has architected sensor-less control platforms, embedded estimators, and high-frequency switching topologies that continue to power hundreds of millions in product revenue across industries. His expertise spans from algorithm design and signal processing to multi-domain system integration—including SiC-based converters, EMI-hardened layouts, and ultra-efficient inverter designs.
He’s built and led entire R&D organizations from scratch, implemented global design standards, and personally mentored dozens of engineers who now lead programs of their own. Joe holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Washington University. He brings an unmatched combination of deep theory, production-ready pragmatism, and real-world product insight.
Joe brings two decades of leadership at the intersection of engineering and business. He has overseen the launch, scaling, and lifecycle optimization of more than a dozen complex product families, often driving them to double-digit revenue growth and expanded margins. With 30+ patents and several industry innovation awards to his name, Joe’s track record reflects a rare ability to align technical development with real-world market needs.
His strengths lie in organizational agility, go-to-market strategy, and sustaining innovation. Joe earned degrees in Electronics Technology, Business Administration, and an MBA in Change Leadership. He ensures every project moves not just fast, but with purpose—backed by clear value propositions, embedded compliance, and a plan for scale.
Charlie specializes in advanced control algorithms, digital power processing, and embedded software development for electric drives and power conversion systems. His toolchain spans MATLAB/Simulink modeling, MISRA-C compliant firmware, and real-time debugging on motor-control SoCs and DSPs.
At MarSum, Charlie develops custom control platforms using FOC, DTC, and variable-switching-frequency techniques, often with predictive diagnostics built into the firmware layer. He’s a key contributor to simulation accuracy, system tuning, and delivering robust performance under variable field conditions. Charlie’s work supports commercial HVACR, EV, and precision industrial applications.
Nikhil brings a precision-driven approach to thermal design, mechanical integration, and long-term system reliability. His work is rooted in physics-based simulation, stress/fatigue modeling, and environmental compliance to meet demanding industry standards such as J1455 and DO-160.
At MarSum, he leads packaging and reliability strategy for high-density power systems, coordinating enclosure design, thermal interface materials, and vibration mitigation. Nikhil’s insights into real-world failure modes help clients meet performance targets without sacrificing manufacturability or serviceability. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and certifications in Six Sigma and Lean Design.
Robert is a high-voltage design expert with a deep command of motor control theory, inverter systems, and digital control implementation. He excels in bridging modeling and real-world performance, with an emphasis on system safety, dynamic efficiency, and electromagnetic compatibility.
At MarSum, Robert spearheads converter architecture, modulation schemes, and embedded control for industrial, automotive, and energy applications. He has an exceptional ability to turn theoretical designs into production-ready hardware, validating every component under real load and environmental stress. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Electric Drive Systems and is a named inventor on multiple U.S. patents.
Jon is a senior systems engineer with expertise across hardware, firmware, and data analytics for motor-drive systems. He has worked extensively on PMSM and induction-drive platforms, focusing on field reliability, adaptive control, and hardware robustness under extreme operating conditions.
At MarSum, Jon supports full-cycle development—from schematic design and EMC-hardening to algorithm tuning and field-data postprocessing. He brings an especially strong background in signal processing and multi-domain simulation. Jon holds an M.S. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and dual B.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Rod brings more than 40 years of multidisciplinary design experience across mechanical systems, PCBs, enclosures, and electromechanical assemblies. He is equally at home in 3D CAD environments and electrical circuit design tools, enabling seamless electro-mechanical integration.
At MarSum, Rod provides layout, prototyping, and design-for-manufacture support for a wide range of programs. His work emphasizes functional durability, ease of assembly, and traceable documentation. Whether working on inverter housings, actuator systems, or wiring harnesses, Rod’s designs are grounded in practical field knowledge and proven reliability.
Victor leads firmware and board-level integration at MarSum, specializing in model-based development, full system traceability, and standards-compliant firmware architecture. His expertise covers schematic capture, PCB layout, control modeling in Simulink/Stateflow, and auto-generated C code conforming to ISO 26262 and MISRA-C.
He plays a critical role in EMC-aware design, code verification, configuration management, and test automation. Victor’s work helps clients achieve audit-ready quality while accelerating time-to-market. He ensures that each system—from motor control board to power interface—operates efficiently and predictably under real-world stress and regulatory oversight.
